Digital SAT Practice Tests Now Available & Registration Open

Updated: Nov 7, 2022

The College Board has just released the digital SAT practice test!

The practice test is for the new digital format SAT which will be implemented internationally from the 11 March 2023 testing date. The test will be reduced from 3 hours to 2, is an adaptive test and must be sat at designated testing centres on the designated testing dates. Registration for the digital SAT has also just opened and you may register here for the March, May and June (date just added) testing dates.

Practice tests are available online now. To access the new practice tests, download the Bluebook app and enter your College Board account information. If you don’t yet have a College Board account, you may create one here. On logging in to Bluebook, you will be presented with an option to explore a Test Preview, which includes excerpts of testing questions, or to move forward with a Full-Length Practice Test. There are four practice tests available.

As a reminder, most (but not all!) universities still have a test-optional policy for the SAT or ACT scores for admission purposed. If you do choose to pursue testing, you may also consider sitting the ACT rather than the SAT. A comparison of the two tests, both of which are online and adaptive, can be found here, and US universities have no preference over either test.
